Run your Golf Simulator from iOS or PC

Are you setting up a home simulator or looking for the portability of taking a Launch Monitor to the driving range?

If you have the funds it will almost alway be better running your system at home from a gaming PC or Laptop. Simulator software is becoming faster powered with high detailed graphics which generally require a fast powerfull system to run from.

Having said this uou cannot beat the portability of an iOS device if you are working your launch monitor at the range and this will give you all the data you need when working on your game. 

What are the benefits of running your launch monitor from iOS at home?

With advancements in technology you can control and view your data directly from your iPhone or iPad and project to your screen. Some of the cheaper systems only run from ios or android but provide software to play and practise with limited detail in the graphics. 

This still provides a great experience and hours of fun to improve your golf game.

iOS saves the expense of a gaming PC or Laptop, many of the cheaper systems say they are only iOS / android compatible. However this isn't exactly true as some people use the API app to add GSPro and run their Launch monitor at home on this. (you would need your gaming system)

Its not always easy to set up but does provide a great way to enjoy golf at home on a more affordable system.

  • Hitting mat 
  • Launch monitor
  • Projector 

Running your system from a gaming Laptop or PC allows you to Play courses on more advanced software like GSPro or TGC19 and companies own packages often with much better graphics and game play.

Laptop or Gaming PC

It is our preference for a PC and a touch monitor as it provides a great experience for simple use:- aiming, changing courses etc just by touching the monitor makes it a great user experience.

But this is our preference and if you plan to use your computer for other things or want the portability to move the computer into a safer place then a Laptop can be a better way to go.

Currently i use an outdoor net and MLM2 Rapsodo to great effect and love the simplicity of linking it to my iphone.
